Netherlands Water Museum

The Netherlands Water Museum is a modern, interactive museum dedicated to all aspects of freshwater not only in the Netherlands, but in the rest of the world as well. Freshwater is becoming ever scarcer in the world and even leads to wars. Water is expected to become as expensive as oil. It is thus for a good reason that the UN declared the 21st century to be the Freshwater Century.

The Netherlands Water Museum therefore strongly believes that everyone should be made aware of the problems surrounding this precious liquid as water can cause as well as solve problems. There may be too much of it, or not enough, or it may be too dirty. Problems are arising here in the Netherlands as well. Many of them can be solved by an integrated approach and broad public awareness.

The Netherlands Water Museum wants to make its own contribution in an enjoyable and interactive way as, after all, every little bit helps. The Netherlands Water Museum is for the whole family; a pleasant and educational experience for all ages.
