Airborne Museum Hartenstein

The Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein' was founded in 1949 as a tribute to the British and Polish airborne troops who fought in the Battle of Arnhem in 1944. It is housed in the former Divisional Headquarters, Hartenstein, with its large park where anti-tank guns and a Sherman tank stand were left after the battle.

Collection
By means of a slide operation and lit-up map, the course of the battle is set out.
A large number of photographs, video films with footage of the battle, authentic uniforms, equipment, weapons and other objects present a picture both from the Allied and the German point of view, of the combat in Arnhem and Oosterbeek.
