IJsselvallei

The IJssel is an unmistakeable artery in this areas that flows from Dieren to Hattem. The former Hanseatic towns that were part of the powerful Hanseatic League are the most prominent eye-catchers in the IJsselvallei, a veritable string of pearls following the river. The farmlands and practically unspoilt river forelands make the IJsselvallei special in more ways than one.
The high, dry ground of the Veluwe massif transform into the low, wet ground along the river. The region also shows the transition from the closed, rigidly divided agricultural landscape to panoramic vistas.

This area is decorated with ancient IJssel dikes, watercourses, marshlands, countless meadows dotted with grazing cattle and stately farmhouses that send every landscape painter into rapture instantly...

Come see the IJsselvallei with your own eyes and we are sure that you, too, will fall in love with this beautiful area.
